Summer 2010 Wedding Favor Ideas
May 6th, 2010 | 1 Comment »
Couples want to express their gratitude to their family and friends for being with them on their special day. Traditionally, cookies, chocolate, and an assortment of sweets have been popular among weddings as favors given to guests. However, many couples have now opted to make their gifts more personal and sentimental.
Today, favors range from the miniature picture frames, personalized or etched candles, glass art with engraving, to as lavish as small photo albums filled with pictures of the couple. This is something fun and creative the bride and groom can partake in. It’s hard to choose your wedding favors because the possibilities are endless and since favors can be just about anything, the bride and groom can choose whatever they wish to let their guests remember their wedding by.

Keeping it Unique
BORING…Music CDs and plain candles are OUT! The bride and groom want their guests to take away a little something from their wedding so it is a good idea to theme your favors in tune with your wedding. For example, a couple who is sporting a beach wedding can packet some sand and river stones into their own personalized gift box. And if the wedding is simply Indian styled, there are candles in the shape of elephants that can have the bride and grooms names engraved on the back. Nowadays, couples can engrave their names and personal messages into virtually anything so personalizing your favors will be very easy to do. This gives the bride and groom an array of choices they can explore when coming up with gifts ideas.
Go with the Theme
Your favors are part of your decor and a piece that brings your whole wedding together. Make sure that your wedding favor matches your theme. If the theme of your wedding is a certain color like red, gold, or pink – make sure that your favor compliments or matches with that themed color. If you have a “Perfect Pear” or “Two Peas in a Pod” theme, it’s fun to match the favors & wedding cake to go along with those two and carry the theme throughout the entire decor of the celebration. Our favorite here are Planning Elegance stems from Ali & Erik’s wedding back in March 2010 – Love is Sweet was the theme with the most beautiful and classy candy buffet we have ever seen! They tied in their color theme as well as the candy theme with their beautiful and elegant jelly bean & martini glass wedding favors!

What’s in this Summer 2010
Summer weddings are an exciting time for all. With the sun in the sky and the flowers sprouting, couples are definitely in for a surprise. Summer wedding favors can be all about flowers, nature, and COLOR! Take advantage of the fun things that the season has to offer. Most weddings in the United States take place in the summer, so do something different with the season to make YOUR wedding stand out. Personalized memorabilia are cute – but stay away from chocolate wedding favors in the summer. Even if you’re wedding is indoors, this is something that is advised to stay away from.

Summer 2010 is all about wine stoppers, photo booth strips, sandlewood fans, ice cream sundae buffets, and exotic fruity drinks – try to incorporate these ideas into your wedding favors and theme to make your wedding an unforgettable summer 2010 event of the century!
