We all love a good wedding on TV, we’re not talking about those reality TV shows that have REAL weddings…we mean the fake TV weddings with our favorite characters and actors.  Most of the time, they are hilarious and filled with drama, but sometimes we can get good ideas from them for our actual weddings.  What’s your favorite TV show wedding?

Friends: Phoebe & Mike’s Winter Wedding

Even though it wasn’t planned for them to have their wedding on a sheet of snow under the softly falling flakes, it turned out really beautifully.  This wedding was gorgeous because even though it took place in the middle of a New York street, the beautiful setting of the snow and feelings of peace turned out to be a great setting for a winter wedding.  For anyone else considering a winter wedding, think about the surroundings (besides it being cold) because public places will most likely be more peaceful and unpopulated while it’s snowing.  This is a great opportunity to save money on your wedding by getting married in a free, public area during the winter time.  To accommodate your freezing cold guests, you can provide tenting, heat lamps, or even make it a full on winter-themed wedding by commenting in your invitation to wear winter or snow attire.

The Office: Phylis & Bob Vance’s Church Wedding

Although Michael was a crazed lunatic making everything about himself as usual (but that’s why we love him), this wedding turned out great. It was also the only wedding to happen in the show, which is weird considering how many engaged couples were on the show (Pam & Roy, Angela & Andy, Pam & Jim).  Church weddings are the most common weddings in America, so this episode was a great expression of the average American wedding.  If we overlook for just a second the fact that Phylis used all of Pam and Roy’s wedding ideas and the fact that Michael Scott craved to be the center of attention, it was really a beautiful American wedding in a church with moderate decor and floral, speeches, music, and dancing.

Friends: Rachel & Ross’s Vegas Wedding

Yes, another wedding from Friends, because let’s face it, they had a LOT of wedding on this show!  The most “on again, off again” TV couple there ever was in the comedy genre of TV shows. They had a drunken wedding in Vegas, but they had a blast!  If you can overlook the fact that they were totally hammered and learn from their experience, the only thing you can take away from it is that they had fun and although their friends weren’t actually present at the wedding, they were in Vegas with them.  Nowadays, Vegas weddings are very popular because they can be done on a low budget by avoiding the planning of a wedding reception since you know there are parties going on everywhere.

Scrubs: Lady and Janitor’s Destination Wedding

If you’re not up to beat with the latest season of Scrubs, maybe you shouldn’t read this article.  These two episodes were hilarious because we find out that Janitor planned a fake wedding in The Bahamas and gave everyone only three days notice so that they wouldn’t attend, but still send presents.  Eventually, Lady and Janitor end up having a cute wedding ceremony on a hill with a view of the beautiful ocean and a fun islandy theme.  If the coupe can afford it and time permits, destination weddings are great because you and your guests will have the time of  your lives on this great vacation.  If you have a wedding coordinator and a travel agent, you’ll barely have to lift a finger while planning your destination wedding.  You may even be able to save money if you stay for your honeymoon at the same location you had your wedding.  Some popular wedding destinations are Barbados, Hawaii, Fiji, and Cancun.
