If you like the feeling of “being away from it all”, fresh powdery snowfall, winter sports, and gorgeous scenery…then Vail, Colorado may be the perfect honeymoon destination for you!
Vail had a very small population of under 5000 people, therefore it’s not too commercial or political, and it’s a great resort city. These mountains are often referred to as “Skiier’s Mountains” because they’ve possess the perfect slopes since the 1960s. With 33 lifts to experience skiing or snowboarding from and gorgeous views of mountains, a streaming creak, and over 190 marked trails, Vail is indeed the best skiing location in all of the United States. Although many summer activities like hiking, music festivals, and mountain biking are present in Vail, it is definitely the best in the winter.
Hot air ballooning is also very popular in Vail and all over the Colorado Rockies. The altitudes that these giant balloons soar you around at it amazing because they often start 9000 feet MSL. With a hot air balloon ride, you will enjoy a 100 mile panoramic view of amazing scenery including Colorado’s highest peak called Mt. Elbert, South Park Valley, and native wildlife. Many say that the once in a lifetime experience of hot air ballooning cannot me missed, and Colorado is a great place to enjoy it.
